About the Artist

Ama grew up in Nepal, where the mountains are never far from view and every festival fills the streets with color. Those colors — marigold garlands, crimson tika, the deep blue of evening over the valley — found their way onto her canvases.

She paints in acrylic and oil, working from memory, photographs, and the stories of home. Each painting in this gallery is an original, made by hand, one layer at a time.
